In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the competitions, events, and/or activities of KD Events LLC, I recognize and understand that martial arts training is an activity that involves physical contact and that my
participation might result in serious injury, including permanent disability or even death, and severe social and
economic loss.
Recognize and understand that such risk may be due to not only my own actions, but also the action, inaction or
negligence of others, the regulations of participation, or the conditions of the premises, or of any of the equipment
used.
Recognize that there may be other risks that are not known to me or to others or not reasonably foreseeable at this time.
Agree to inspect the facilities, equipment and pairings prior to participation. I will immediately inform an
instructor if I believe that anything is unsafe or beyond my capability and refuse to participate. Otherwise, I
accept the same AS-IS with no warranty as to the suitability of the same.
Accept and assume the risk and responsibility for the losses and/or damages following such injury, disability paralysis
or death, however caused and whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the releasees named below.
Enter martial arts training and/or competition entirely of my own free will and understand the importance of
following the rules of training and competition.
Understand that some of the martial arts training and competing requires close bodily contact that is not designed or
intended to have a sexual nature, intent or context.
Certify that I am in good physical condition, and have no disease, injury or other condition that would impair my
performance or physical and mental well-being during intense training practice and/or competition.
Grant permission in case of injury to have a doctor, nurse, athletic training or other emergency medical personnel
provide me with medical assistance or treatment for such injury.
Release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue, KD Events LLC, its affiliated organizations and governing bodies, their officers, instructors and personnel, other members of the organizations, participants, supervisors, coaches, sponsoring
organizations or their agents, and if applicable, owners and leasers of the premises from any and all liability to the
undersigned, his or her heirs and next of kin for any and all claims, demands, losses and damages which may be
sustained and suffered on account of injury, including death or damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in
whole or in part by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.
Expressly agree that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is
permitted by the law of the State of Maryland and that if any portion is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall,
notwithstanding continue in full legal force and effect.
I HAVE READ THE ABOVE WARNING, WAIVER, RELEASE, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK. I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS, AND
THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT. I HEARBY SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, ASSURANCE, OR GUARANTEE BEING MADE TO ME AND INTEND MY SIGNATURE TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL
RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY.

KD EVENTS LLC TRANSGENDER ADULT ATHLETE POLICY
The term “Transgender” as used in this policy refers to individuals whose gender identity, i.e. how they identify, is different from the biological sex assigned to them at birth.

KD Events LLC acknowledges that all competitors deserve an opportunity to compete in a fair and safe environment. To foster a fair and safe competition environment, competition division and bracketing for our events will be separated according to a competitor’s biological sex assigned at birth.

All competitors are required to register and compete in the division which corresponds to the sex the competitor was assigned at birth. Transgender competitors are not permitted to register and compete in a division that is different from the division that corresponds with the transgender competitor’s biological sex assigned at birth.

In the event KD Events LLC discovers a competitor has registered or is competing in a division which differs from the competitor’s biological sex assigned at birth, that competitor will be removed from the competition and will be given the option to register or compete in the division that aligns with the competitor’s biological sex assigned at birth.

If the competitor declines the option to compete in the division aligning with the competitor’s biological sex at birth, the competitor is entitled to receive a refund of their event entry fee. A competitor who is found to be in violation of this policy may be banned from registering and competing in future competitions held by KD Events LLC.
